Dear fellow gooners and fans I am sorry to see this is a trend of Wenger to keep everything quiet until the last minute and then he is claiming that he is not willing to over spend on players actual values but he have indicated that he is just about buying 3 players. Granit Xhaka buy is justifiable with the 2/3 midfielders that left in terms of salary spend on Granit. Yes Arsene has a very good eye for scouting talent but I am extremely concerned that we are not gona be able to compete in this up and coming season. All a person hear is that Arsenal is linked to this and that player for the past month or so but nothing constructive comes to the fore to give us supporters belief or hope at the title again. I am therefor turn my attentions to the owners and Ivan Gadjidus who doesn’t make a real effort to hand Arsene Wenger a hefty warchest to mount a serious challenge at the title. If they really cared about the club like they loved to look at the figures that balanced each year they would have strengthened the team in the transfer window the past season and we would have had a real chance in winning the championship

Yep, exactly the same minutes per goal which I guess is why Arsene might think he’s a grower. I worry though becuase less than 20 goals isnt enough, especially if we don’t massively improve our goal return on the wings.

I’d like to see us turn Auba despite the cost – he seems custom made for Arsenal. It was mentioned that Griezmann might be available as as Athleti continue to sell to invest. I also wonder if Lacazette isnt going to be a star: but would probably worry like I do about Morata. Spuds and West ham in for him.

In reply to Simon. That's interesting re: Lukaku. He'll probably go for around £50m so it shows the inflated nature of the market.

Is he going to be better than Giroud or Welbeck this season coming is the first minimal requirement. Is he the best we can buy with all our resources is the next hurdle. And we need to remember that unless we can improve more than Chelsea Man U and man city we have failed.

The fact that he isn’t an automatic starter in anyone’s mind is probably a clue.

To give some context he has the same goal scoring record as Lukaku on a per minute basis excluding penalties.
