Here’s another, by far the largest group of internet fans world wide belong to Arsenal FC, therefore the slightest whiff of a player moving to Arsenal creates an unstoppable set of scenarios ranging from, Wengers a skinflint, doesn’t know what he’s doing, doesn’t care, and one of the real Gems, he’s trying to sabotage the club yadda yadda yadda. Arsenal can make an enquiry, talk terms, (club & player) wait at Heathrow, or wherever else he is coming in, make a derisory offer, (club or player) or wait till tomorrow, next week OR after the current big competition, (Vardy anybody) ALL without knowing a damn thing about it. Plus and you’ll love this the aforementioned scenarios get pointed out every season without fail by trusted sites like Untold Arsenal, they have a great time taking the proverbial every transfer window.
Arsenal don’t cause fans anxiety. (Apart from the sane ones that just say bollocks to every transfer story and believe it’s only real when announced on the Arsenal official website!) Arsenal fans are just masochists, never happier than when they are causing themselves grief, come August they positively glow with self inflicted pain, but that’s The Arsenal for you never a dull moment.

Sorry – don’t believe that. Deals can get done quickly if players want them to happen. Monreal deal was done within hours. So why would this be any different? This is a game being played out. Just my theory.
