Fair enough – you might have me on that one – my fuzzy memory caused by years of alcohol has clearly merged some seasons in to one! You’re right though, it was Henry and Suker that arrived at the same time.

Didn’t Anelka leave the club before Suker arrived? If I recall correctly Suker arrived with/similar time as Henry, Anelka got his run before Suker’s arrival, because of the injuries that Wright suffered. Or maybe I’m going crazy, who knows.

I would like to see Akpom given a chance, there’s always a sense of pride when one of our own make it after coming through the ranks. Realistically, I think he will probably go out on loan for a season, hopefully he’ll prove his worth during that stint

I watched the game, and yet again it is an insult to the great forward we have had in the past that Theo Walcot gets picked to play up front.
Why Wenger even puts him on the pitch is very strange.
Akpom will not be another Anelka but every chance he will have the same impact as Walcot at CF

We are desperate to sign a decent forward

The writer of the article above, has his own vision about Campbell, which is not the same vision as what Wenger thinks, the fact that Wenger kept him last season after some offers from different clubs, means a lot to Wenger, how you come up with your own reasoning is not what the manager of Arsenal is thinking, that is how you think yourself not Wenger. The only player who cannot continue to play for Arsenal, would be probable Walcott, not Campbell. Campbell is in Wenger’s plan for 2016/2017 season. Be reminded that Wenger is not the kind of a Coach who can keep a player without making up his mind.
