Sure, they know how big their budget is but what they don’t know is who they can move on at a reasonable price vs their market value or book value. Plus, they don’t get know who they can bring in at a price which is comparable to their own valuation.

Two hugely unknown variables. If Arteta and Edu had their way, they’d likely be moving on 14-15 players and taking well over £150mil in transfer fees. That seems a very unlikely scenario in a depressed market, even if you do offer your players at discounts.

Like every Arsenal transfer window - it’s going to very much be a “wait and see”.]]></description>
