I see what you are saying but how much time do you give it? If he loses 10 games in a row are we right to just keep him in a job? What happens if the players have given up on him? Keep him there until we get relegated? There does come a point…

I agree that Odegaard is an amazing signing and far more sensible than adding Maddison. But what you say about Arteta - I can't agree on that one at all. We had 3 managers and 3 directors of football in 3 years before he arrived who left the club in chaos and everyone of them tried to get his own players in and followed his own visions. To say that after this window this is Arteta's team after one and a half years is nonsense, even more so if you look at how difficult tge market was due to the pandemic every window he has been here. And now you say that if he doesn't get out a tune in the next few months, he has to go? Because changing managers worked so well the last 3 times, right? We would scrap everything and start again with a 5th manager in 4 years and we would fall fruther behind. Stability is key to a rebuild. But the most important point you seem to just ignore, is that he already got more than one tune out of this team. We were the second best team for the last 24 games last season, which shows what he can do with this squad. We will only get better. So just support him and stop writing nonsense to add more pressure just because you are impatient.

Agreed fella, I'm so pleased we're getting this one over the line. The guy is a world class talent, I mean he can be a best in the world in his position type. I couldnt say that of Maddison though, plus he has his injuries.

I've always said that Arteta needs to be given a chance with his own squad. Not a squad full of players that let Wenger and Emery down. People thought our squad was good enough for top 4 last season. It was all Arteta' fault we didn't get there lmfao, these people have got poo in their eyes IMHO. These players failed a legendary manager and decent one and expected a rookie to get a tune out of them.

The problem is with alot of the fanbase at Arsenal they started supporting Arsenal during the glory years, not realising our club goes through periods like this. Then great innovators come in like Chapman, Graham and Wenger and bring success back to where it belongs.

I think we need to see the back of Auba, Laca (the new le sulk), Willian, Kolasinac, Elneny, Bellerin, Chambers, Nelson and Nkethia though. I think just get what money we can, from 5-15mil with the younger lads get a sell on and buy back clauses in there too. Get the wages off the bill and finalise cleaning the slate. I've banged the drum of give Arteta his squad and the judge him and apart of that is clearing the old smells too.

Against Brentford we lost yes, but dominated possession and chances. I see the we had 4 players in the top 20 for Xg points over the weekend too, and it didn't surprise me one bit. We were missing the final flourish and killer instinct up top. I have no doubt it will come with Balogun but the 3 Brentford defenders we given a nice prem debut agents a 20yo debutant starter.

We need a GK and a RB as you said, but not Trippier at 30+ mil this has agent drumming up interest all over it. Whack a 25 mil bid in for Max Aarons pay a max of 35. Odegaard is coming for 29mil as we've said that's great news and a steal. Plus we could see the mercurial talents of Charlie Patino this season too. Get shot of Elneny and give his space to Azeez and AMN and sign another young Holding midfield for back up to Partey.

If Xhaka had gone i would have signed Bissouma all day, but he stayed and good on him and good for us. I think he's really hit his stride under Arteta. I feel he need to be given freedom which Partey gives him, it will be nice to see them get a run of games together. So ividence is there that Arteta is doing some good work at the Gunners especially with Pepe, Xhaka and even Holding who was pretty solid last season.

But we need a striker ASAP and I would love to see Belotti. The Italian press and fellow pros and ex pros have nothing but good things to say. They say this guy would be a starter for Italy if he was at a club that creates chances for him. He is a genuine top goal scorer but plays for Torino so it limits him alot. He's strong has good pace good in the air and can finish from anywhere and would cost anywhere between 15-30mil and he would be perfect for Arsenal and were perfect for him.
