To be honest, I’m still pretty confident for the season.
We are still in preseason and, whilst I still get agitated when we lose, it is still mainly just a fitness exercise.
I am hoping to see, (and I think we will), a marked improvement come Saturday, and more of a first 11 for 60 minutes.
My one concern is Martinelli. He’s too greedy for me. He could have easily put Gyokores through a few times yesterday but, instead, stuck his head up his arse and ran down blind alleys. I’d love to see an Eze/ Rodrygo type come in, but if not, I think Trossard is a better option as he is more aware of his team mates.
No need to push the panic button just yet, it will all come good on the 17th.
Come on you Gunners!!

With the addition of Gyokeres I start to wonder if we have solved the wrong problem. A couple of seasons ago we would dominate games, create several good chances but fail to score. Gyokeres might have fixed that. The current and more pressing problem is that we aren’t creating enough good chances, our creativity and fluidity have dropped for whatever reason. Might Eze help fix that? Hopefully we will have it right against United.
