I have kept the dated post of over 5 weeks ago, when I was the first to post the news of Arsenals interest in Vinicius, when he refused Madrid’s offer and the meeting of Arsenals representative meeting Vinicius agent, it was then mentioned that Arsenal would be able to afford his wages by offering him a huge signing on fee instead of increasing his wages, which would then balance out to what he was demanding.

This meeting and planned finance for his wages was with the understanding that his valuation was just £77m due to his final 1 year term of his contract left before Madrid would loose him for free.

Since, 5 weeks ago that I reported the £77m valuation figure, it had remained at that for a good few weeks, but since the media has only just woke up over the past two weeks to the possibility of Arsenal being interested in Vinicius, the media has once again speculated that Arsenal are willing to pay £120m for him, which is wrong and way off the £77m valuation that I mentioned over 5 weeks ago.

The media also suggested that Arsenal was prepared to pay £110m for Rogers, which we also all now know was way off the true £80m that Arsenal always valued Rogers at, but funny enough, the highjacking Chelsea believed the over speculating medias ridiculous valuation, and in doing so, Chelsea ridiculously went in with an even higher offer than what the media was suggesting, and over spent by at least £30m, when Villa would have eventually accepted a lot less.

Chelsea believed the medias overvaluation as usual and ended up with egg on their face with their once again highjacking and overspending as they did before when they highjacked Mudryk and look how that turned out!

The “jealous” Arsenal Hating media will always overvalue any potential deal that Arsenal are interested in, as most of them live in hope that Arsenal will waste their transfer budget on fewer quality players and would even try to fob Arsenal off with their being better alternative players that are just mediocre. Arsenal unlike Chelsea are too savvy with their valuations and take no notice of media overvaluations or mediocre player advice.

I was very firmly in the Vic is a useless lump camp at first. I ended the season being more convinced of his use. We needed a 20+ striker, and he did the job. I’m still not fully convinced, but I defo think he should be given another season with The Arsenal. But he’s still on probation.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Jesus. I still think he had a lot to do with us becoming viable contenders for the title. Is a pity he has faded in recent years. But Jesus joining The Arsenal definitely propelled us from being also rans into genuine contenders.

What many people seem to have forgotten is that this take it or leave it offer from RM isn’t quite that. They can only sell him if he agrees to go. More likely he will stay for the final year of his contract and then have a huge signing on fee/wages at RM or somewhere else, I think that is the most likely outcome.

Ethan goes to the center. He is the reason why it never made sense to pay so much for Rodgers. His physique and shoot on site attitude are exactly what Arsenal need in the center mid.

I am not too sorry we missed out on Rogers. I do not think we needed to spend that kind of money of which I do not think he is worth. At the World Cup, Odegaard seemed to getting back to his best and I believe Merino is world-class and should get a starting place. I think all we need is a class Left Winger to replace Trossard and we seem to be looking at several good possibilities. I am optimistic regarding the new season

The problem is yes we do have cover at the moment How long will Tibet and White stay for for? How would Mosquera cope week in week out?
It’s been a poor summer window for Arsenal to date I ferp we are already weaker than last season with Trossard leaving We’ve got a calamity of a goalkeeper in the making with Mesliet and probably Tzolis Loom at the players Tottenham have signed Manchester Utc will be stronger Chelsea have no Europe and there’s Liverpool and Manchester City I honestly feel that we will be lucky to make top four next season unless we buy soon and big too

A shock with Rogers going Chelsea and time running out for new signings to join Last season we had done the bulk of our signings early to allow them time to adapt to the Arsenal way I would certainly now make a big effort to get Kroupi whilst the Guimaraes deal seems to be stalling but in that respect we still have Zubimendi and Lewis Skelly The Saliba issue casts doubt over our plans too Do we rely on Mosquera whilst there remains concerns over fitness of both Timber and White We are still lacking in both flank positions with the fitness of Saka the erratic Madueke and the relatively unknown Tzolis It’s all very much up in the air at Arsenal at moment and I hope that there is movement soon both in and out Surely we are going to at last be able to jetison Nelson whilst Jesus and Vieira also need to move on too
OK we have Nwaneri and Dowman but neither are likely to be able to cone into the team and perform as we need week after week both have so much to learn and neither should be out in the spotlight too much in the early part of the season I just hope that Berta has alternatives to Rogers in mind otherwise I hate to say it’s not looking promising For the new season Maybe signing Mavropanos would fill the Saliba gap and Mosquera Hincapie Calafiori can supplement Gabriel at the back Is it going to be a frustrating summer window similar to 1999 when within days Anelka went and Henry and Suker were signed on the same day or will it be like 1981 when we list Stapleton and ended up signing the prolific John Hawley and then in November of the same year signed on a short term contract Ray Hankin I hope the results better this time round

Just an opinion, but I agree with your assessment.
There are positives with both Bruno and Rogers, and both should be valuable additions to Arsenal should they come.
The positives are:
1. That they both have requested to leave and join Arsenal, with their agents already in wage term agreements with Arsenal.
Both have great “domestic” STATs
2.Bruno has a better than average international STAT.
3. Both are versatile in more than one position although we are buying them for the sake of a left wing and a DMC, I would guess.
4. Rogers still not reached his prime and has a longer contract possibility and a small reclaim sell on value by the time he is 28.

Now the negatives:
1. Both Bruno and Rogers are overpriced for which I will explain below.
2 Rogers has little great internation form and low stats in that department compared to Martinelli, Trossard and Saka.
3. Rogers only gets marked by one defender (like Martinelli) whereas Sake can still reach high STATs at both international and lower domestic level when mostly being marked by two defenders, does this make Saka twice as good as Rogers, I don’t know. But even Martinelli although domestically not as good as Rogers he is certainly better internationally, both Euro Champions league and internationally with his country.

4. Rogers position is not a premium position like DMC or Loan Striker, where their is fewer high “internation stat” players available that perform great against world class defenders. Rogers is hower great at lower domestic level and more so consistent at that lower lever more so than at international level.
5. Rogers True value is £85m after add on when compared to a similar Stats and field position player in Newcastle’s Gordon who was only valued at £69m. Remember Anderson and Tonali where at premium DMC positions like Rice and unlike Bruno they are fairly still young.

6. Everyone knows how good Bruno is at “both” international level and domestic level and he is a premium DMC field player, but it is his age and valuation that is his only negatives.
7. Bruno almost 29 will have no long term contract investment in him, maybe two years at the top level maybe three.
8. Bruno has no reclaim sell on value.
9. Bruno has an average injury record.
10. Brunos valuation only due to his age being a short term investment should be £65m after add-ons.
No doubt both players are not happy with their current clubs greedy ambitious over priced valuations that different from my fair true market (comparing age field position and international STAT level) valuation by some considerably ridiculous margin.

But remember Brunos is soon to be age 29 with no sell on value, and a shorter playing longevity and the possibility of a slow injury recovery at that age. Then with Rogers being in comparison to another player of similar (non premium) position as Newcastle’s ex player £69m Gordon.

Their is a common mistake of teams over pricing their players that are not sold, because their form usually drops the following season as they are usually not 100% committed being unhappy not having their wish granted for a chance of silverware and competing against the worlds best at Champions league final stages. If their form drops and their contracts role down it’s a loose loose for their current club not letting them go for a fair market value, of £85m and £65m for both players mentioned after add-ons.

As it seems to have been the plan to get another right back and let White leave, why not get another right back and keep White a year (or even half a year) longer? Both he and Timber (but we don’t know what his fitness looks like 🙁 ) can play right centre back without a problem?

I have never rated Meslier and am not surprised Leeds let him go. I can only assume he is break glass in case of emergency at Arsenal.
Tzolis looks like a good punt – as Trossard was for Brighton from Ghent.
Looks like we’ll need to get a right sided defender in the door by August. Only Mosquera has a clean bill of health with White, Timber and Saliba all held together with chewing gum and elastic bands.

I agree very much with this article and feel Tzolis would be a good signing If the proposed moves for Rogers and Guimaraes get over the line that would improve the attack a great deal Still feel we are light at right back cover re Timbers injury woes and especially if White were to leave too Mosquera I feel is more suited as a centre back Pending . Possible departures Trosssrd Jesus Vieira that may generate more cash and apart from those already noted would love to see Arsenal get Kroupi as well to supplement Gyokeres Havertz and the under rated Merino I just hope rumours concerning Kofane are wrong too much money for an unproven player coming to a new league

I think €18 million a year ago for a Champions League final starter, turning 32 and entering the last year of his contract would have been a bit on the low side but just about fair enough.
But this is a massively inflated market and we have fallen for a lowball offer – as usual. Trossard is an established international and has another four years of decent football in his feet. We would have little problem finding a buyer at £25-30 million in my view.

Tottenham are being watched by the premier League officials are getting little revenue for Finnishing about 4th from relegation, the premier will be examining Spurs accounts after dishing out £100m on Tonali and his huge £270k weekly wages, plus having to still pay for their new ground. Where are their profits and income coming from with no European or much league money. (The scum are having to pay almost double the players value and wages for the non ambitious players to join them for the pay increase rather than potential trophies) But in over spending, they will be checked on profit and sustainability.

Their books should show that they have already over spent on one Tonali and their accounts should be in the red, having made little revenue last year.
To be investigated no doubt.
