Unai faced the media yesterday and as usual never really said anything of interest, also not confirming whether Cech will play his last game of the season tomorrow against Brighton. I'd like to say that Brighton will have nothing to play for if they are safe, but Palace didn't, which didn't stop us from absolutely [...]
Here we are folks. This game this evening represents - in my opinion - one of the most important in the season for these Arsenal players. That's because our horrendous away form invariably means that we are going to struggle at the Mestalla and so unless we win - and win well - tonight, I [...]
Wouldn't an Ajax vs Barcelona final just bring back the romance of the European Cup, eh? A team who has a rich history but has fallen down the global pecking order since the advent of the Champions League format, versus a team who thinks the world loves them but in fact it's just their own [...]
Let's not hide behind any kind of faux injustice brought about by Ainsley Maitland-Niles' sending off in the first half yesterday: this Arsenal team was probably defeated before it even took to the field. Nine goals conceded in three games against three opponents who have nothing to play for other than some additional points on [...]
After a day in which Unai Emery has had a press conference ahead of a game I like to have a little read over his comments on the official website to see if there's anything that I can glean that gives an insight in to how the team will set up in the upcoming match. [...]
I really like it when Arsenal and the players go in to media lockdown and blackout after a poor result. After a couple of results like we've had this week the last thing I want to see if Alex Iwobi channelling his inner Johan Djourou with a "we have to move on" statement post the [...]
Well didn't we get away with it yesterday, with Burnley doing us an almighty favour and holding Chelski to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, which means Top four is still in our shaky hands. I didn't expect anything from a Burnley team that are pretty much safe but by drawing away it means that [...]
Sadly I had a feeling we were due a performance from Arsenal at home like we got yesterday. Lethargic, leggy and lackadaisical with some absolutely comical defending that really gifted Palace all three points yesterday. Unai Emery rotates once again and I'm came Jenkinson, Mavropanos and Mustafi in defence, followed by a midfield duo of [...]
Today is going to be a tough game. We're at the point in the season where there are many aching limbs, we're missing key players, plus those that are fit are being patched up and sent out twice a week and expected to get results. Today is no different and after Man City just about [...]
For both of these two legs against Napoli i haven't really felt nervous at all, aside from a quick pang of butterflies in the stomach about two minutes before kick off yesterday, but even that went away after I saw how Arsenal had set up and how Unai has instructed his players to play. In [...]
