Happy Tuesday folks. Just over 48 hours to go until the next edition of The Arsenal is out, with the gents travelling to Rennes for the first of our two legged knockout against the French side. After three games in a week it feels like a bit of a no mans land right now but [...]
Howdy folks and welcome to a brand new week, a week in which we could go a long way in to defining our first season under Emery, with Rennes in the Europa League and Man United on Sunday. And after the weed feeling of frustration-but-also-pride that many of us are feeling after this weekend in [...]
Yesterday morning I was pessimistic about our chances of taking any points at all so, given that I was expecting us to take a pounding against the tiny Totts at Wembley, the fact that come 3pm I was disappointed that we hadn't picked up all three points I think needs to be seen as a [...]
Here we are then. Derby day. The away leg of it and the one Premier League game of the season I hate the most. It doesn't help that we've only won one in 16 and with those numbers it feels like today is going to be an uphill struggle against the Tiny Totts. I get [...]
Well here we go folks. It's the countdown to the North London Derby and that will start with a press conference from Unai Emery at some stage today no doubt. Mercifully at least we have a bit of form going in to this one. I know "it all goes out the window" for the NLDs [...]
Midweek match days. I love 'em. Not least because it gives you something to look forward to after the monotony of a day at the office. Not that I don't like my job - I actually find it quite rewarding - but if you gave me the choice of not doing it and sitting at [...]
Today's blog starts off with a nod to a career that should have been, after Abou Diaby officially retired from football at just 32 years of age. In nine years at Arsenal he showed us mere fleeting glances of what could have been a fantastic career that was cut short by a malicious 'leave one [...]
Perhaps we're a little too greedy as Arsenal fans. Perhaps we want too much? Because after yesterday's victory over Southampton, which saw us tiptoe into the top four after United's draw, I found myself wishing that we could play like we did in the first half but in the second as well. And I wasn't [...]
Howdy folks. Match day. Best day of the week. Well, usually is, especially when it's a home game and usually I'm off to The Arsenal but this week I have a family event that prevents me from going. I'm not bitter. Much. It's a religious thing as well so I'm hoping that my sacrifice that [...]
I guess it all worked out in the end. So we can be pleased we're still in the hat. But my word we don't half have to huff and puff to get results at the moment. After the debacle that was the away first leg to BATE, one could forgive us Arsenal fans for feeling [...]
