Morning Gooners and welcome to matchday 19. We're at the halfway point in the season for our lads and apart from if we were playing City today, you won't find a sterner test than playing United this afternoon, so it's time to put the game faces on and do everything we possibly can to get [...]
I found myself feeling the most dirty and unholiest of things last night: I actually routed for the Scum to win. It felt wrong on so many levels. But our ambitions have elevated ourselves above such local rivalry for me. The Scum are less of a consequence for The Arsenal this season. I suppose if [...]
It's funny how when you're team is really good, you start looking at the league table, permutations and therefore as a result start taking interest in other teams' games. Last season of course I did that as we chased down top four, but I don't think I started looking so forensically at the table as [...]
Morning fellow Gooners. Hope we are all still feeling splendid after the weekend's events? Well, those on Saturday, anyway, because that was where all the fun was to be had and last night I jumped on the Same Old Arsenal pod to wax lyrical about the North London Derby victory and it felt gooooooooood. I [...]
Morning Gooners, welcome to Tuesday, a grizzly one in London which you'd expect that to be the mood after losing up in Manchester yet again. But it kind of isn't. I've woken up this morning thinking about that game and thinking "that kind of result doesn't happen that way nine out of ten times". I [...]
It's a particularly bitter pill to swallow this morning, when thinking about the events that unfolded at Old Trafford yesterday. once again we went up there, once again we were the better team, once again we come back with nothing. The Old Trafford league hoodoo continues and when we next get the chance to go [...]
Might be a bit of a short one today as I need to head off to London to do a spot of shopping and meet a few friends for lunch and I'm running a little late, but I wanted to pen some pre-United match thoughts on here before I toddle off. Firstly, having watched some [...]
Howdy friends, how are we all doing? Looking forward to the game tomorrow? Not me, I have to say, because I've thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of five consecutive victories and the thought that it might come crashing down against United - like it always seems to when we go up there - makes me a [...]
It came, it went, without a major incoming and now we know what we have for the next - roughly - three months until the transfer window re-opens on 1st January. I say 'roughly because we've got the whole of September, the whole of October, then the first 12 days of November and then the [...]
Well now, I just wasn't expecting to tune in for the end of the United v Liverpool game to see that Man United can actually play with aggression and pride. I thought those values had been stuffed away in an old locker somewhere in the ground, never to return. Yet I tuned in with about [...]
